Feedback From Testers!

This is a simple to follow pattern a nice project to sit and do with a cup of tea or coffee and make on an evening or in stages, the result its a Beautiful Sling bag you can wear at a gathering, the beach and everyday . ~Selene

Everything worked fine except me. As mentioned in the post on the group facebook, I shouldn’t have been doing anything that required me to focus and stay focused. I may or may not share the trials and tribulations of getting me through this bag. The pieces went together well, the instructions were clear (or would have been had I been able to stay focused). One thing I liked was the directions for doing a pocket welt. I can still remember the first time I did one. The instructions were completely unclear. I had to look at them, look at the pattern pictures to make sense of what they were saying. It took me forever to get two welted pockets on the jacket. And I was dreading having to do one on the bag. It took me all of five minutes to get the one on the sling bag one because it was clearly explained and illustrated! ~Kathi 

A really useful sized bag, not too big but has lots of space. The style of it means you can show off a bold patterned fabric. I’d never used magnetic fasteners before and they were really easy. Although I’ve made lots of clothes, I’m a newbie a bag making and loved testing this pattern! ~Ali  (Thimberlina)

This pattern makes a very functional bag which can be made out of your favorite colors to match your favorite outfits! ~Sandy

Peek at the PatternIt has been a long and pleasing road from taking the Pattern Workshop course “Creating PDF Patterns: From Sketch to Sale” in November, from finding testers to actually testing the pattern. And learning to love Adobe Illustrator!!!
