So far men have come up with the most creative ideas for custom-made handbags!  I wouldn’t have thought that, but here’s a great example of upcycling a vintage Swiss Army blanket into a cool sling bag!  Last week I showed you my test pattern and now for the big reveal.

LaCartera - Swiss Army Banket

Here’s a look at the back of the sling bag with tie straps to allow you to adjust the length that you want.

LaCartera - Back of Sling Bag There’s one inside zippered welt pocket to hold your wallet and keys, with a brown lining and plenty of room.

Swiss Army Banket Sling BagI think that it will be a great present and a wonderful addition to any wardrobe!

What do you think? Is it a Hit or Miss? Fab or Drab?

Love it except for the cross. I’d feel like I was carrying a first aid bag around, though I do thinks it’s a great idea to upcyvle the blanket. 😀

Hahaha! I had a similar thought especially against the white outfit, but it’s so cute and a great memory.

It is, I agree, but just not for being….being a paramedic I might get a bit busy on my days off! 😀

Oh that could happen at anytime. You should always be prepared. 😊 And I’m sure you would help out if needed!
