Pre-Spooktacular Event!

We are so excited to share our upcoming Spooktacular event! First of all, I always wanted to say spooktacular in a blog post! Now I’m bursting at the seams to share some of the spookiest hair bows we have in the making for LaCartera Kids.

Lisa of AP Quilting has outdone herself with these spooky designs for Halloween, dress up, crazy hair days or just for fun! These are also fun for adults too!

We will officially kick off the Spooktacular Bow Event on September 24th, and we will share a special discount coupon for you to use or share.

October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month!

LaCartera Designs will support #Team Twila’s October campaign efforts for “Adults with Spina Bifida Meet-up Group.” (AWSB MUG) Twila has Spina Bifida and encourages others to engage in fun activities like rock climbing or other outings. Our donations will defray the costs for those who cant afford to pay for those outings.

What is Spina Bifida? “A congenital defect of the spine in which part of the spinal cord and its meninges are exposed through a gap in the backbone. It often causes paralysis of the lower limbs, and sometimes mental handicap.”

Twila has created a Teal theme for the campaign to sell bow ties and bracelets to raise money and Awareness for the group. When I inquired about the campaign, Twila had already selected the fabric design she wanted me to design in a teal color.

Some of you may remember the XOXO design I created several years ago. Well, I’ve updated the color and we are preparing to make bow ties for the men and hair accessories for the ladies. I have one or two more items in mind that we intend to sell, but most importantly we will donate 50% of the proceeds to the AWSB MUG during October but we will need your support!

I also have two other similar textile designs that offer a little twist for those who only want to purchase the fabric instead. The Spoonflower commission I earn will also support the AWSB MUG campaign.
