Welcome back to the Latest Thread! A little bling for the girls, hair bows, keyrings, baby mobiles for boys and textiles. Lisa and I are still busy creating different items for the LaCartera Kids Etsy line. The girls have taken center stage this week, but more boy’s items are on the way.
LaCartera Kids
Lisa has been focusing on baby mobiles, girls bracelets, keyrings and the cutest tiny hair bows for little girls made with faux leather and handmade polymer clay dolls using bobby pins. She created them with different themes in a very stylish way. The smaller hair bows are great for the little ones with thin hair.
Here’s a preview of the hair clips that are perfect for toddlers and older girls. The hair clips are so versatile with styles in the faux leather, rolled felt flowers, glitter, and the polymer clay figures. Some have alligator clips.
Bubblegum Bead Bracelets
The bracelets are made with chunky beads 12mm and 20mm specifically for children’s jewelry, double-strand elastic thread, and the polymer clay figures. However, the clays are breakable if dropped. The bracelets give a young girl a little flair as with a special character or colors that they love. I think it’s a must-have for any young lady especially for going back to school, coordinating with her outfit and even toddlers will feel special.
All I can say is cute, cute, cute and more cuteness! It reminds me of when I was a little girl and I had my very own bracelets or my first keyring. Of course, you know that all changes when you become a teen and all of mom’s things are fair game! But for now, it’s all about the little girl and inspiring a sense of style.
The keyrings are super cute with the faux leather, clay figure and a secure keyring that can clip to a bookbag or zipper.
Monster MASH
Both of us are in love with the monster textile design for little boys. Lisa created a monster baby mobile that got the okay from her 1yr old grandson when he spotted it.
The monsters are hand-cut,then hand-stitched and the eyeballs are glass. It is recommended that the mobiles are used for decoration in the baby’s room and not placed within a child’s reach.
So we are collaborating on a special monster bedroom project using the exclusive monster textile I shared with you last month. I’ve just finished the coordinating fabric design with the help of the latest Spoonflower Challenge! We are going to mix it up a bit, but we are using this photo as inspiration!
Next week I will share the latest handbags that are coming this fall and other crafty items we have in store.
Stay tuned there’s more to come from LaCartera!
Such cute projects. Makes me wish my girls were small again.
