The newest addition to the leather mini wallet clutch collection is in the making! I found a great leather shop on Etsy called Peggy Sue Also with lots of colors and leather prints. As you can imagine there are so many wonderful colors to choose from and so many designs going through my head. 👜
The lining and on the front of the wallet has a pop of color that makes you smile, but the back looks promising too! I’m still settling into my new space and found that I’ve been trying to catch-up and focus on too many things all at once.
I’m working on the tutorial and found myself adjusting the pattern to make it a little easier to complete. Since I’ve moved into my new crafting space and coming back to the project has left me a little frustrated. Some people may say I’m anal retentive or a perfectionist. But you know what??? Yes I am and I claim it !…. I realize that I can’t create a tutorial that I don’t feel will give you the perfect results. So I’m stepping back from the tutorial and planning to tackle another project before I complete the tutorial.
I love the leather wallet mini clutches, but I’ve changed the pattern three times….
My mentor and aunt has told me that when I feel frustrated with my sewing project… I should step away and come back to it later. Normally, it takes me a couple of hours or even a day to regroup and “get her done”. This time I think I need a little more space. How do you handle your frustrations? Do you work through the tough times? Or, do you walk away and come back later?
Stay tuned there’s more to come from LaCartera!

Very Nice!!

The are really nice. My granny said the same to me, walk away and come back and I do.

It’s always wise to listen to your granny. I’m trying to take it slow, but I hate to feel defeated.

Leather can be intimidating. I look forward to your tutorial. Maybe I’ll take a leap and try it 🙂

That sounds fantastic! The leather is easy to work with if you’re careful. The problem for me has been the lining. 😂
