I fell in love with a white pinecone wreath that cost more than I wanted to spend….So I decided to upcycle a wreath I found last year on sale along with the pinecones that I normally use to decorate my Christmas tree. I cut and shaved half of the pinecones with garden pruning shears then hot glued the pinecones and a little dried baby’s breath to the wreath. With a light coat of white spray paint and trash ties twisted together to use a hanger…my wreath was complete!
Here’s the pictorial…
I think I will add some red berries later, but now I have a winter wreath I love.
Stay tuned there’s more to come from LaCartera!

Pretty pine cones.

Thank you! I had fun with this project and I learned that pinecones are as thick as a baby tree. 🙂

Very pretty, my brother has a tree with loads of pine cones in his garden, time for me to pay him a visit I think!

Oh yes! Don’t forget to hot glue some faux red cranberries that will totally bring it to life. 🙂
