I am very excited about the batik fabrics I purchased at the Craft Complex in Kuala Lumpur! I’m always on the lookout for unique designs, and now I think I’m ready to create my own batik designs too.
My second batik class went by so quickly. I wanted to spend more time enjoying the calming effects of painting! After the small design was approved, I had to finish two owl panels for my custom diaper bag design. Here are the final designs:
I also picked up a batik starter kit for fun. The batik conlay will be used for my designs. Now all I need is some broad cloth and fabric paint.
I’ll miss the batik class and Kuala Lumpur!
Stay tuned there’s more to come from LaCartera!

I like batik as well. One of my favorite tops is navy batiste with small designs of whit, light blue and a touch of deep pink. It is a happy top and comfy. It is good to see you have returned safely. Welcome back!
