It’s my favorite time of the week, Hit or Miss time? As most of you know creating an E-Pattern has taken over my life. I’ve spent several weeks trying to figure out the Adobe (InDesign) program, and then I gave Adobe Illustrator a try. As I watched the videos and discovered all of the great things that Adobe could create, I tried to put it into actions. This for me was a massive fail. I think a hands on training class would be best for me.
So I put my Microsoft Publisher to the test and discovered that most of the great things I wanted to create in the Adobe applications I could accomplish in Publisher. This was a great relief, because now I can actually focus on creating E-Patterns, or PDF Pattern downloads.
Weeks ago said that I would compare my results with you, and I shared my attempt at creating a cover page for my patterns. Here’s my initial attempt:
Now I’ve created a template for all of my patterns in Microsoft Publisher. Here’s the new cover page to compare.
Here’s the second page of the pattern template.
Sorry I could show you the comparison of the two programs, but I have shown a great improvement in using Microsoft Publisher. I’m so happy this learning curve is over, and I’ve found the best product for me!
So Tell me what you think. Hit or Miss??
The E-Pattern, or PDF Pattern will be posted this week on Etsy! (Whew!!!!) Stay tuned there’s more to come from La Cartera!
