Hello, Handmade Handbag Junkies! So glad you can take a moment to preview one of the latest handmade handbags in my Fall Collection. I want to Introduce “Odyssey” and she’s ready for you to decide whether she’s a Hit or Miss? Fab or Drab?
In keeping with the structured bag theme, I wanted to create another sleek bag with the party on the inside.
Creating this purse has taught me something that I didn’t know about myself. Well, I’ve learned a couple of new things! First I’m a perfectionist, and I hate to redo or use the seam ripper. Just the thought or possibility of using the seam ripper stresses me out. But, I’ve also learned that I have the tenacity to stick with my vision until I accomplish it! So this faux leather handbag has taken me to places that no other purse has taken me, and my husband said that it looks futuristic or something used in outer space. “He’s a stand-up comic! “:) Hence the name!
I focused on creating a sleek shape with an adjustable strap so that it will fit most women. I clipped a bow to the end of the strap to see if it would add additional interest.
I’ve added feet to the bottom of the purse to help preserve the faux leather and to keep the bag upright when needed.
The colorful lining has my favorite slip pocket and a zipper pocket.
Lisa made some matching earrings too!

I LOVE the Odyssey! The shape is so unique with the smallest on the bottom and bigger st the top. The colorful lining adds a perfect touch! It’s definitely a Hot Hit!! ❤️

I really like it, even if I’m not the right one to wear it, as I don’t have color enough to make it look perfect. I love yellow, but can’t wear it myself.

Thank you, Irene! It’s not a bright yellow more of a mustard yellow that pairs well with black. 😀 Believe me there are some colors I don’t wear too! Thanks again and I will have this style in different colors too.
