This is such a great idea and a fun challenge and anyone can join in! Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get authors, potters, photographers, artists, song writers, bakers, poets, knitters, sewers and all sorts of other creative WordPress bloggers together to see what everyone’s personal expression of a Ladybug would be!

I’d like to thank Starr Creative for nominating me and  Kathy’s Crafts and things for  putting this challenge together. We all agree that this is a wonderful way bring the WordPresss community together with a common theme so thank-you Kathy!

I was a little hesitant about the challenge at first, but it really inspired me to think outside of the box and I found that I really love my little ladybugs and sunglasses textile. I love it so much that I’m making lots of little girls dresses and tops with this design for he summer.  I was also excited to see Starr’s pincushion in a fuchsia pink color that it prompted me to try a fuchsia color too! I’m looking forward to see everyone’s expression of a Ladybug! The Ladybug challenge (beautiful feature image by Our Little Red House’s blog ) was Kathy’s inspiration so visit to see more on this unique lovely Ladybug. You don’t have to be nominated – everyone is welcome to participate and if you are nominated and not interested don’t give it a second thought, no explanation required. This is a wide open Ladybug making exercise! Use whatever creative medium you are comfortable with. There is no time limit, Ladybug making should be relaxing, not stressful! RULESMy Ladybug Creation

Here’s my version of the ladybug using what I love! Textile design and Spoonflower. So this challenge came around when I was thinking of a tropical design for a Spoonflower challenge.  I decided to add the ladybugs to a fun tropical print for girls. This print Is so cute that I decided to create a purple and lavender ladybug print too.

So when my wheels started to turn I found that this would make a perfect print for little girls dresses. My friend showed this dress to her 10 year old daughter and she said that she wanted a top in this print for the summer. So now I can say that it’s kid approved and it goes to show that ladybugs are irresistible no matter your age!
