Spoonflower Challenge of the Week and LaCartera Winning Design

This week we “closed our eyes and pictured ourselves on a tropical oasis. Do you see oversized palm leaves swaying in the breeze or bold pops of color from the flora like birds of paradise?”

My design popped into my head fairly quickly, as I imaged the cutest girls sundress pattern.  I uploaded one of my handpainted designs and layered the other graphics on top of that to create the “Large Exotic Island” print.  Voting ends on February 26th!

Spoonflower Popular Print!

So last week I finally made it to the winners’ circle with my design “Midnight Pysanky”! I appreciate all of the votes and favorites I received. I feel that there’s hope for me and it’s not bad a bad average for my 5th design challenge entry this year. I’m so thankful that I pushed myself to enter the weekly Spoonflower Challenges to help me get out of the creative block and push me to find my strengths outside of the box. The challenges also inspire me to create more and to know that others love them as well!

I placed in 42nd place out of the 60 most popular entries! (Doing my happy dance!) It’s a great feat since there were more than 400 entries! So now this is for sale in my Spoonflower Shop along with some of the other new designs I created this year.
