More Inspiration for LaCartera Kids!
Since it’s official that my darling grand-daughter will arrive in July, this grandma has started crocheting an adorable blanket for her to enjoy for years to come. I have settled on the colors with help from mom, but I don’t have a final design in mind so I’ve been testing out some simple but different looks.
I thought I would mix-up the stripes a bit, but after a couple of hours adding rows of mini stripes it didn’t turn out the way I envisioned. So I can officially say that my testing phase is over.
So it’s back to square one without the mini decorative stripes. It’s slowly taking shape and now I can concentrate on the crochet applique that I want to add as the finishing touch! I’m taking it slow to avoid aggravating wrist pain that I get from time to time when I crochet for long periods of time.
Rest and Relaxation
On the first beautiful spring day last Saturday, me and the hubby went to the driving range to enjoy the warm day with a little coaxing from me. Neither of us wanted to admit that we had sore muscles the next day, but when you start getting old every muscle you don’t use, you have to rebuild, which is a nice way of saying my body ached for the week after the driving range ! I also aggravated my wrist from crocheting for an extended period of time over the weekend too! 🙂
Stay tuned there’s more to come from LaCartera!
