The Latest Thread – Textiles, Home Goods & Sewing

This week I approved new textile designs, discovered a new Custom Home Goods shop, made a pair of cute oven mitts, updated my logo, and worked on a couple of PDF patterns. So here’s the latest weekly thread!

Textiles, Pattern Making and Sewing Textiles

This week I released design collections from the XOXO Plaid and the Slate Collection in my Spoonflower Shop.  Since I have a couple of custom orders for home goods and I’m working on my own kitchen collection too, I definitely have lots of work ahead of me. So it was a wonderful surprise when I found Roostery a Custom Home Goods shop that connects to my Spoonflower textile designs! This site offers, placemats, napkins, pillows, & tea towels using my textile designs. Not only was it the highlight of my week, but this will relieve me of some sewing!

My Shop preview on Roostery!

In the meantime I made a pair of oven mitts with two fat quarters from my Orange Tile Collection.  I love the color and they’re a great addition to my kitchen.  This tutorial is on my list of things to share with you too.

You know I had to mix up the pattern a bit so, I placed the coordinating pattern on the opposite side of the oven mitt.  Sorry you can’t see the awesome quilting job in the photo!!

Talk about being busy!….And it shows! Way to go. That’s fantastic. The kitchen collection sounds wonderful. I try to stay away from the stove/oven (which means cooking) 🙂 but from time to time mitts are needed for taking pre-cooked foods out of the microwave. 🙂 the mitts are great. Love the colorful prints. Way to go Sheila, you are an inspiration.

Hahaha…😃Thanks Linda! I have to cook from time to time because I’m a foodie. I wish I had a pure passion for cooking. I think if I didn’t have a husband & family always making special request I wouldn’t cook either! 😁 You would find me painting, sewing & Blogging!
