This Hit or Miss; Fab or Drab; is for another Spoonflower textile challenge and I need your help to select my final entry!
The challenge involves a textile that highlights the beauty, complexity and drama of the sea for BucketFeet shoe collection of ocean-themed footwear to raise awareness about the environmental issues and the impact of rising sea levels on ocean health for World Ocean Day on June 8th. This weekend I worked on my entry and my family has selected the top three textile designs for the challenge … I have strong feelings about one of them, but I’ll let the people decide! Please let me know which design you prefer?
- Ocean Wave: Hand painted marble design that resembles the waves in the ocean.
- Ocean Mirror : This is the hand painted ocean wave design that has been turned into a repeat design that mirrors itself.
3. Ocean Deep: This hand painted design has two digital overlays.

The first two are really pretty! There is something about the second one that appeals ever so slightly more to me – especially on the shoe. I spend a lot of time by the ocean and in that respect, the second one also touches on the mystery and jewels the sea offers whereas the first is kind of stormy (nevertheless beautiful as well). My thoughts – looking forward to seeing your pick! Nelusha

My. Wow.. They are all beautiful. But my first choice I’m drawn to #3, second choice #1, then #2. All are beautiful.
