Hello Handbag Junkies’ It’s Hit or Miss time!
At first glance the sling bag looks like every other sling bag, but there’s one exception with this one. I was tasked with incorporating a pattern for a custom sling bag that matches a pattern or stripe. As you know I love mixing things up and this is no exception. So to test out my design I created a pattern and then used some of my fabric stash to practice this design theory.
The textile is from Accra, Ghana and I only had one yard that I cut off some of it to make something that I don’t remember like I will remember this. Of course it’s all about color for me! And this piece has plenty of color and spoke to me. (Use me, use me!)
Here’s a look at the back of the sling bag with tie straps to allow you to adjust the length that you want.
There’s one inside zippered welt pocket to hold your wallet and keys, with a bright yellow lining and plenty of room.
I think that this sling bag is perfect for shopping, unique style in the urban jungle, or to add a touch of tribal fashion to your wardrobe.
What do you think? Is it a Hit or Miss? Fab or Drab?
Stay tuned there’s more to come from La Cartera!
