Yes, but there is a difference in ironing and pressing. Pressing is essential to professional garment sewing.

Pressing is the professional term to use, but I think everyone can relate to ironing. Because everyone has an iron that will press their seams as they sew their project.

Thank you for sharing my post! I’m very much obliged. I guess where I’m from, we are used to being more laid back in our use of “Iron” or “Press”. There’s finger pressing as well with some of my quilter friends. Glad to hear of the differences across the miles 🙂

It’s adorable! Ironing really is helpful. You can get flatter dreams and measure more accurately with an iron.

Absolutely! Sometimes I press my seams before I sew them together. Especially if it’s a smaller seam.
